Trip to Tasmania

Well, I managed to sign in again. Not with the username I'd given them and recorded in my last post..they told me they'd never heard of that username... I got in using my Google Account details..anyway, I daresay no one is really interested in all that.

Now I have two blogs and not one post about anything other than complaints.

So, what am I up to...?

Well we (Nonie, Arvid and I) just got back from our trip to Tassie to see Cam and Jodie. A great trip, great hospitality and wonderful scenery ...

If you would like to see more photos of beautiful Tasmania just click on the one to the left.

Ofcourse, most of our photos were of family. Here are a few.

Schouten House, for those of you who haven't been there is most impressive. Built in about 1846 from memory it is a shining example of the stone masonary of the day. Large rooms, 14" thick walls, 4 poster beds; totally luxurious and decadent. A most elegant and grand residence of an era goneby. Our own trip around the island of 5 days or so was sandwiched between two stays with Cam and Jodie at the beginning and end of our trip. The "Cosy Cabins" at Cradle Mountain and Strachan were fine, but the term cosy took on a new dimension after our days of total luxury at the Big House.

So many thanks to Jodie and Cameron for looking after us so supremely well.

Tasmania...we'll be back...
